Today is the last day of summer vacation, however, I haven't finished my seminar report yet...

OH, NO!!!!

I have to finish it by tomorrow's class...
It's hard...
What did I do during the vacation??
I'm a foolish student...

Well, today, I went to the S-PULSE Dream Plaza to watch the movie, Miss Potter.
Actually, I'm writing about Beatrix Potter in my seminar paper.
In the Miss Potter, you will see really beautiful scenery.
I'd like to visit there someday.

Oh, I have to go now!
I'm looking forward to meeting you at SUAC.

See you☆

I'm really happy, but I don't want to drive;;

Well, I only want to report it.
I'm looking forward to meeting you and listening your stories♪

At last, I have to say sorry that I could write a few posts;;
You know, I got a really terrible cold for a long time...it prevented me to use PC;

Nature in Cairns

Hi guys! How are you doing!?
This is
Yasuko writing.

This time, I wanna introduce the cute
animals I met in Cairns.
I went to the rain forest by much transport, such as a bus, a gondola and a train.
The rain forest in Cairns is said the
OLDEST one in the world.
Furthermore, it's one of the World Heritage Site.
That's why there were so many kinds of animals and much nature.

First of all, I met favorite two animals in Australia, the
kangaroo

and the koala.
I heard the koala is sleeping almost all day, and sit up for only about 4 hours in a day!!
That's why I couldn't take a picture of the smile face of koala,
but this sleeping koala is also so cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hahaha

Next, I show you about the other cute animal,
wombat.
look...... hahaha...........
It's
SO
cute.
It usually lives and is sleeping in the hole, but I was happy to see the sleeping wombat on the ground.
It's said the nearest relative of the
koala.
.....I don't think so, but sleeping for almost all day is same...
hahaha

Next,.......
be careful for below.....
don't look if you have a weak heart......
hahaha

THIS!!
You know, it crocodile.
It was big and so serious....
I
did't see for long time.

Lastly, I show you about beautiful scene of rain forest from the gondola and the train.

Maybe I can't see like these beautiful natures' scenes in Japan.
Also, I can't taste good air of these rain forests.
These scenes took away my usual tiredness from me and made me so relaxed.
This trip was so valuable for me.

Today, I'll go to bed with remembering these beautiful natures.
Good night~

Brilliant Trip to TOKYO

Hello, everyone! How are you? I'm YUMIKO.
I enjoy reading your posts all the time!! Each of you have spent wonderful summer break!

By the way, I want to tell you my four days' trip to Tokyo this time.
I've stayed at my sister's house from 18th to 22th.

- Tokyo Midtown -

Tokyo Midtown is a compound area. It has a large garden and six buildings; They contain several shops, restaurants, offices, a hotel, an art gallery, etc.
My sister and I had lunch and cups of coffee at my favorite cafe DEAN & DELUCA (http://www.deandeluca.co.jp/).

Tokyo Midtown was so luxurious and elegant!

- LaLaport TOYOSU -

LaLaport TOYOSU is a shopping center at Toyosu.
It has many shops, restaurants, a movie theater and Kidzania (http://www.kidzania.jp/).
Do you know "Kidzania"?
It's the place that children work at lots of companies, they earn money (but, money is not real), and they get their want.
That's the great opportunity for children to experience and understand the importance for working and money!
Of course, my sister and I couldn't go to Kidzania... We wished we had been elementary school students!

After we walked around the building, we went to the doughnuts' shop Lil' Donuts (http://www.lildonuts.com/).
Accoring to the name, each doughnut was so small! You can buy 8 plain donuts at 350 yen, and if you like 8 flavored donuts, you need to pay 400 yen.
Flavors were cinnamon, caramel & nuts, chocolate & nuts, milk & coconuts, etc.

Toyosu, the area has been being developed. Therefore, it wasn't dirty and cramped like the city, Tokyo yet. I liked the sector very much!!

- Ebisu Garden Place -
On the way back from lunch at very famous hamburg steak restaurant Ore No Hamburg Yamamoto (http://trust-navi.com/ore/index.shtml), we visited Ebisu Garden Place.

We drank cups of coffee at McCafe (http://www.mcdonalds.co.jp/mccafe/top.html).
There are only 15 shops everywhere in Japan!

- Tokyo Disney Sea -

On the last day, we went to Tokyo Disney Sea!!
It was sooo hot the day, and there were no clouds.
My sister and I love machines like jet coasters that make us scream! Therefore, we concentrated on riding them.

We tried Jorney to the Center of the Earth four times, Indiana jones Adventure once, Venetian Gondolas once, and Tower of Terror three times!
Our favorites were Venetian Gondolas and Tower of Terror.
- "Venetian Gondolas" was not a scream machine, but it was so fun!
A man rowed toward the harbor, so an attraction oparated by hands was rare.
Besides, we prayed to the gods for our desire at the under one bridge.

- "Tower of Terror" was really exciting!! It was like free fall!
The below pictures were the building of Tower of Terror. The height was 59m.
Can you see four half circled windows?

We fell down from there! In addition, the tower's color changed to weird blue and purple...

I'm 21 years old now, but to visit a never-never land is really interesting however old I get.

Wow! I have to go SUAC on 28th, so it has been 3 days later...
I'm really looking forward to seeing you at SUAC!

See you

hello pappy!!

Hi, I'm happy you all had great time on the vacation.

Recently, I have been in relax at home. So I'm feeling little bored.
However, I had great time with my friend's pappy that is the same kind of mine.

His name is "Peace". He put on the shirt that I bought for him.
He looked he liked it (I hope so...).

There are 2 things that he likes. The one is dog food. He often went back his house to eat dog food even if he was playing with me. The another one is my sandals. He was always looking at it, interested in it and biting it. Can you see the picture? He was NOT interested in myself but my sandals...

A pappy needs to sleep for 16 hours. Therefore, he fell a sleep soon whenever he felt bored. I and my friend are planning to take Peace to the river near my house with my dog when he glow up. I'm so happy my friend got Peace because my dog got the special friend or brother.

This summer vacation is ending. I hope you have a great time. I'm looking forward to listening how your vacation was.

HERO☆

Hi everyone♪ I'm Asami.
I was glad to read your blog and know you are enjoying vacation.
But summer vacation is close to end...

By the way, I went to see a movie with my mother yesterday.
I watched "HERO" .
I like the TV drama, so I asked my mother to go to see a movie.

The content was so funny and touching!!
I laughed and cried many times.

I recommend you to see the movie☆
Maybe you can enjoy the movie if you don't know the drama.

See you~☆★

Trip to Sendai

Hi, I'm Mayumi.
First of all, thank you for celebrate my birthday! I was really surprised to read the post, and felt HAPPY
So I'll tell you how I spent my birthday.
I went to Sendai, Miyagi prefecure, from 15 to 17 with my friend.
You know I'm interested in Japanese Histroy, especially Sengoku Era. What's more, I decided my graduation papers's theme as Masamune Date, one of the famous generals.
He is from O-shu, the ancient name of the northeastern region, and floulished there.
So I went to Sendai to reserch his history, and the buildings he built.

9/15
When I arrived at Sendai, I met Masamune!!!
Well, it's an only statue, but I was excited.
This day, I went to a little shrine.
Can you believe that I talked with the man who are descentant of certain warrior!?
9/16
Second day was really busy!
I visited old castle, temples, museums in Sendai, and move to Matsushima.
Can you imagine this is a kind of mousoleum?
This is Zuiho-den where Masamune Date buried.

In the trace of the Aoba Castle, I coule met him again♪
There were only statue and monument. I wish I coule see the castle;;
Also, in the museum, I could learn a lot about his life and watch many exhibits. Many of thema are really brilliant!!

Then we went to Matsushima. It took us about 30 minutes by train.
Do you know Matsushima is one of the famous beautiful scenery in Japan. Miyajima, Ama-no-Hashidate, and Matsusima called "Nihon san(3) kei".

Sorry, I'm not good at taking pictures;;
It was really beautiful scenary, I thought. I moved to watch this.
You have to mind that there are a lot of good place in JAPAN, too.
And there, we visited a lot of temples.
At the one of them, visiters can make a bead. I made my own one♪ If you are interested in it, maybe I always wear, so you can notice it.
This is my dinner☆

You know, Sendai is famous for Gyu-tan (tongue of beef) !
I've never eaten like this delicious one!!!
9/17
This day was the last day staying at Sendai.
We went to Shiroishi. Where we should get on train about 50 minutes;;
Shiroishi is a really small quiet town, but I really wanted to go there.
There was a castle in Shiroishi.
In Edo Era, Tokugawa Shogunate ordered that they admit only 1 castle in the each territory. In Date's territory, there was already the Aoba Castle. But Ieyasu admit the Siroishi Castle as an only exception because the lord of Shiroishi Castele, Kojuro Katakura, was an able man.
I like this story, so I want to go there.
During this trip, I could visit a lot of places relate to Masamune Date.
I was really satisfied♪
But if I have a chance I'd like to go there again.
Thank you for reading my long report.
Bye☆

A Wonderful Day!

Hi, I'm YUMIKO. How are you, everyone??
I want to report the great trip to Kamakura on 11th to you!
I went there with three my co-workers of part-time job.

- Lunch at an Italian restaurant -

We got on the Enoshima electric railway at Fujisawa, and we arrived at Shichirigahama Stataion. We ate lunch at an Italian restaurant that be able to see the beautiful sea!! The restaurant was a little luxurious for me, but I had a very good time there!

- The Great Buddha of Kamakura -

We visited the Kotoku-In to see the Daibutsu. I've been there when I was an elementary school student, but I didn't understand good points to sightsee the great Buddha... However, this time, I was deeply affected by the sight! That's the evidence that I got older!?

I bought an English book about the Daibutsu, and I studied some things with reading. I want to tell everyone interesting information!
Do you know that the Daibutsu has a curl like a mole on the forehead? It's made of pure silver, and it weighs about 216kg!! In addition, the great Buddha is believed to emit rays of light from the mole to illuminate all the words in the universe!!!
I did never know that... Can you believe it?

- The data for the great Buddha of Kamakura -
1) Weight 121.00t
2) Height 13.35m
3) Face 2.35m
4) Eye 1.00m
5) Ear 1.90m
6) Mouth 0.82m

- Starbucks in Onarimachi -

Starbucks!! That was our main purpose to visit Kamakura this time. Starbucks in Onarimachi is different from others, for example, a kind of cakes. Besides, scones and cookies are always baked at the shop! A villa of a Japanese comic artist was rebuilt and changed to the Starbucks.
We really relaxed and stayed there for about two hours.

I had been imagining that Kamakura was crowded with lots of people all the time, but the place has been comfortable so much! I wanna go Kamakura again someday!!!

I'm waiting for your good news.
See you

relaxed week

Hello~♪ We have only a few weeks until next semester starts... I'm sad..

I didn't have to work for 5 days. I had a gread time.
My friend and I are going to take a trip to Hokkaido from 22nd to 27th. So, we talked a lot about the trip. We are going to drive in Hokkaido. I will tell you about the trip when we meet at EDC class.
Additionally, I went shopping with my coworkers. I bought new shoes☆
The other days, I was relaxed at home. I started reading "Battery" writen by Asano Atsuko and "Sekai no Owari to Hard-boiled Wonderland" writen by Murakami Haruki. Both the books are interesting.

But, Nobue, you are a great student. I didn't write my graduation thesis yet... Ah.. It's almost time to start writing it. How about you, Aya?? Did you start writing your graduation thesis?

By the way, when I was working, I talked with a foreign customer a little. However, recently, I didn't speak English, so I couldn't explain the matter to her well... I realize I must study English more!

Anyway, let's enjoy the rest of our summer breaks!

Nice Trip to KYOTO

Hi, everyone! I'm YUMIKO. How have you been??
I'm so happy to hear you enjoy the break! However, there're two weeks left for the vacation...

By the way, I went to Kyoto with my friend Yuri!

- On September 6th -

We went to the Kiyomizu Temple and the Kibune Shrine. Of course, everyone knows the Kiyomizu Temple, but how about the Kibune Shrine? It is very famous for the god of matchmaking, that's Cupid!

We tried omikuji (our fortune drawn by lot). The way for omikuji was really interesting and unique!! First, we paid 200 yen and chose one sheet of paper from a mountain of omikuji. Secondly, we floated the paper on the water, then letters started to appear! That was really exciting!!!

- On September 7th -

We went to Arashiyama today.

First, we tried a footbath that was connected to Arashiyama Station! The fee was only 150 yen. We soaked our feet in the hot water for about 10 minutes, then our bodies warmed up for a while.

Secondly, we visited the Tenryu Temple. It had a very beautiful garden! We walked around there with talking and taking pictures. Lots of people may think that the most beautiful and attractive seasons are spring and autumn because they can see cherry blossoms and red leaves. However, through this trip, I understood that summer was great, too! When I saw a lot of trees and flowers, I really felt energetic!!

Thirdly, we rode a rickshaw: a jinrikisya. Cool breezes were so comfortable!

We experienced magnificent nature in Kyoto.
Let me know your latest news!
See you

movies★

Hello, how are you? I'm Nobue.

These days, I'm writing thesis which I have to hand in on the first day of seminar class. I read books and face PC most of time...I think 4th year students struggle this paper.

I watched movies about the theme of my thesis.
One is "EAST IS EAST"(bokunokuni papanokuni in Japanese).
The other one is "CHILDREN OF MEN"Japanese title is Tomorrow world premium edition).

First one is comedy. Next one is a SF movie. Both of them are interesting and exciting.
If you have time, I recommend you watch them to have fun and study English.

Have a nice vacation.

See you~

Hi, I' m Saki.

I was little busy these days...

From Aug. 27 to 29, I went to the Lake Yamanaka for training camp as a membler of SUAC Wind Ensemble.
The Lake Yamanaka is near from Mt. Fuji, however, it was cloudy, so I couldn't see Mt. Fuji well...

↑This is a picture of Lake Yamanaka. It's cloudy. There is Mt. Fuji behind the thick cloud.

On Sep. 9th, SUAC Wind Ensemble join the Hamamatsu Music Festival.
We performed three tunes in the Great Hall in the Act City.
I took part in this event not only as a performer but also as a staff, so I was tired very much.
It was hard to walk after the event.

On Sep. 10th, I went to Hamanako Garden Park with my friend to listen to the music live, which my friends took part in. My friends' performance was really good(*^_^*)

↑This is a river in the park.

And...
On Sep. 11th, I went to the Tokyo Disney Land with my friends!!
I enjoyed every attraction.
In the park, many buildings were decorated as a Halloween version.
They were sooooo lovely!!

One of my friends' birthday was that day, so we wished her a happy birthday there.
We were very glad to make her happy☆

I feel Autumn these days, and it's cool at night and early morning.
Take care of your helth.

Saki

Long time no see!!

Hi, everyone!! It's Rie.
Long time no see.
I knew about this blog yesterday...
Now I remember that I was absent from the last class in July.
Thank you for telling me about it, Yuka.

In August, I have been spending summer visiting Kyoto
or going to watch fireworks with my friends.

Now I'm goint to tell you about my trip to Kyoto.
I went there with my family by car, so I didn't have to pay for the expensive Shinkansen ticket.

We stayed at the hotel next to Kyoto station.
We could see Kyoto tower from the room.

I got up early in the morning and went to Sagano. Sagano is famous for bamboo forest. I wonder why there were nobody else...

After that, we went to Jyojyakkouji. There I found beautiful lotus flowers.

Tea time is very important. I love Anmitsu. It was really good.
Next day, we went to Uji to visit Byoudouin, the temple drawn on the back of 10 yen coin.

Somehow, I ate curry rice for dinner at hotel. Why???

Wow, so many pictures!! I had really good time in Kyoto.
I hope everyone to enjoy the rest of vacation.

See you~
