SUNNY DAY

To day, Furano is sunny day.
I went to Rokugou with my mother to meet my grandfather and mygrandmother.

The way of to go to Rokugou, there are a lot of green of nature.

I like this way because I can feel relax.

We talked with my grand father and mother.

After that, I went to hospital to meet anoter my grandfather.

We cauldn't stay a long time but we talked and ate Yokan.

We cauld enjoy this time.

When I arrived our house, the time was about 5:30.

The view of evening suslight from my house are very beautiful.

tomorrow will be sanny day!!

September is comming!!!

Hi, everyone!!! This is Yumika, EDC1. How is your summer vacation? Recently, it is getting cooler in the evening. I can feel autumn flavor.
I will go to Hawaii on September, so I'm sooooooooooo excited!!!!

By the way, I went to see a movie "The Dark Knight". It was so interesting! You should see it. I will go to see "Hancock" next time. I love to see movies. Summer vacation is a good opportunities to see a lot of fun movies:-)

On this August, I went to the beach. The beach was so beautiful. It was windy day but we enjoyed playing with water:p

I will let you know about my trip to Hawaii next time!!!

INDIAN CURRY

hello, everyone. This is Natsumi.

I went to an indian curry restaurant with my friends.we arrived the restaurant before it open!!
so we waited open for 15~20 minutes.

the restaurant staffs were Indian. and gentle.The interior design from pictures on the wall to tablecloth and tableware were India. the silver glass has cute reliefs and i liked it.

I ate "shrimp curry". the shrimps were soooooo fresh, i think the shrimp is not frozen one.
I was surprised by the big size naan!! it was more than 3o centimeter but i could it easily.
they are really delicious.

there were really many kind of curry. for example vegetable, beef, chicken, pork,lam and seafood cuury. we can choose the spicy amount form 6(maybe) level .

Next time, I want to try hotter curry and another kind of curry.

trip and excursion

Hello. This is Soichi of EDC 1. I hope you enjoy this summer.
From 25 to 28, I went to Nagasaki with my friends. My mother was born in Nagasaki so Nagasaki is my family’s hometown. I love Ngasaki because people are kind and the landscape is absolutory wonderful. There are many western styled buildings. Ngasaki was only opened city for other countries during Edo era. Western merchants built mansions and churches around this city. We took lot of pictures of beautiful churches and mansions.
In the peace park, we saw many exhibits about the Atomic bomb explosion. We are shocked. Very, very sad history.

In 28, we waked up at 4 a.m. and took the airplane to go to Osaka because I had to take part in excursion of my seminar. I took over 100 photos of the signs in USJ with Mr. Hirose and classmates. Some classmates study about advert expression of USJ and Tokyo Disney Land. After that we drank too much. Everybody was so funny!!

Yesterday, I came home. That was 5 days trip! I was really tired but enjoyed the long trip.

PARTY

Hello everyone. This is Miharu.
Today many 2families came my house to meet me before I will go Hamamatsu.
My family sametimes eat delicious foods, go many places, talk a lot of things with these 2families.
It is my favorit time to talk them.
there are 2 junior high school students.
I haven't seen them for a long time.
So I'm so surprised they became so tall and grew up!!
They are taller than me.
I'm a little shock.
But they didn't change internal character.
It is happy for me.
We were engoying to play cards game so long time like little childs.
Also there is high school student.
She have to study because she has test next week.
So I can't talk her a lot.
I will talk her a lot next spring vacation.
After cards game, I talk with adults.
They are so cheerful so I don't feel difference of age.
I really enjoy this time.
I thought I will take pictures but I forgot because of too enjoy!!
I'm looking forward to meet next spring vacation.

My great summer!

Hi, everyone. This is Hitomi EDC3. Long time no see. It seems like everyone is enjoying their vacation. I'm also enjoying my summer vacation.

Well, I was kind of busy in August. I went so many places!!
From August 13 to 17, I went to Kurohime, Nagano. It was so cool even though Hamamatsu was so hot at that time. I participated in family camp. There were many family and so many cute kids!! I had a great time there.


Oh! Guess what? I bought a new digital camera!!!! It took for a couple hours to decide which one I will buy. But, I finally decided to buy a camera by Nikon. So, I can show you many pictures by now! Yeah, I'm so excited!

I went Koshien to watch a final match because my boyfriend loves baseball. I was so surprised that Kahori was there too! I couldn't find her though.....


Well, I'm having wonderful summer vacation. But, I spend so much money and didn't work a part-time job for a long time, so I have to earn money from now!!!!!
I have some plans in September, so I will work and work and work.
I will post another blog if I found interesting things. Take care!

UCLA

Hi, everyone. I'm Saori, edc3 student.

I'm in UCLA now. I was surprised that UCLA has large campus. There are many shops, restaurants, and libraries on campus. It takes 30 minutes to go to classroom from my dormitory, so I can exercise everyday.

I'm taking 2 classes everyday. One is Culture class, and the other is Communication class. I can talk with many foreign students, and it is really enjoyable and fantastic!! I learned pronunciation. I noticed that I pronounced a word wrong until now. I'll practice pronunciation and improve my English.

I'm going to go to Hollywood and Universal Studio this weekend. I'll also go to Venice beach and Disney land next week. I'm looking forward to going there!!

zoooooooooooooooooo!!

Hi this is Tomomiw! It's already August 27th, how fast time passes! The half of summer vacation has gone! Wow..... Somebody said time passes more faster when you are over 20 years old and it is true I think;;;

Today I went Hamamatsushi zoo. Surprisingly, I could enter free! wow♪ That is because it was "the day of people of prefecture" . I don't know exactry what is it though;; Anyway, FREE is good!!

This zoo is the only place in Japan where gorlden lion tamarin are bled. Gorlden lion tamarin is kind of monkey. As you can see from its name, they have golden hair（I see that is orange but....）and they are so cute!! sorry I did'nt take their pictures.

We saw alot of animals ; kangaroo, lion, elephant, giraffe, egles, penguin..... pig ! I love animals!!

DO NOT think zoo is for children, there are lots of pleasure for adult too!

mmmm....Every animals were so cute but nobody cannot beat my cats (-; !!

Fukui prefecture!

Hi! This is Rika from EDC1.

Last week, my family and I went to my aunt and uncle's house.

My aunt lives in Fukui so we went there by car.

We were worried about traffic accident or traffic jam but we had no trouble while my dad and mom driving.

We dropped into Kuzuryu Station on the way to go Fukui.

Kuzuryu Station is build in Fukui and there has two dinosaur robots.

Many people got surprize when robots moved and cried loud voice.

I bought souvenirs(hand towel) and HELLO KITTY's key holder! It is very cute!!

After we went to Kuzuryu Station, we went to my grandpa's grave. This is our habit.

Then, we went to met my grandma. Grandma is in rehabilitation facilities now.

We talked with grandma. I felt grandma is getting much better than before we had met. I was really happy!

We promised we will meet grandma tomorrow and We arrived at my aunt's house.

My aunt and uncle is very kind to us and they gave us many kinds of dinner! It is very good taste and we had eaten our fill!

Next day, we went to met grandma again.

She has one room and there have many Kiyoshi Hikawa's posters.

She said that her grandson (which is my cousin) gave that poster to her. Grandma loves Hikawa!

I really surprised about this! However, I promised myself if I happend to get his poster, I will give that to my grandma.

I wanted to talk more, but she said that she had to eaten lunch so we said bye bye to grandma and we leaved there.

After that we had lunch in HACHI-BAN RAMEN and returned home!

Next time we will go to Fukui is spring vacation.

I hope my grandma getting more better than now!!

Odaiba

Hi, this is Natsuki from EDC １.

I went to Tokyo with my friends on August 20, because "Boukenou Final" takes place in Odaiba.

The event is going to finish this summer vacation. I went to there first time, but it was so sad.

There were many people, so the place was very crowded. The day was very hot, so we were tired, but we had a very good time.

This picture is "OKAXILE". Do you know this? This character is EXILE and Takashi Okamura. We can dance "Choo Choo TRAIN" with this doll!!

Also, I ate "Okaremon ice". This character was created by Mechaike. It was good taste.

Hi! I'm Yuko, EDC 3 .

I enjoy summer vacation!! I went to firework in Fukuroi. That was so beautiful and a shaved ice was delicious!

I have 2 trip plans. Next week I will go to Kobe. I'm looking forward to eating some sweets♪
The other trip is to Kanazawa. I will go to "21st century museum" and eat sea foods♪
I have many eating plans!!haha


By the way, I bought a muscot of this cuuute bear(≧∀≦)

This bear is red, and the touch is very soft.
Why?? Because this is for child!
The bear was sold in child area of the shop.
I am 20 years old, but I really liked it! so I bought!!

cleaning of Enshu beach

Hi! This is Hitomii from EDC 1.

Last week, I cleaned Enshu beach with my coworkers. That beach is close to Maisaka junior high school. This is a volunteer work. Many people joined to that. There were many litter like cinders of fireworks. We must take our litter away with us.



It was too hot day, so I was sunburned. Fortunately, I got better soon. A couple, a husband is my boss, they took measure against sunburn completely. They looked strange. I don't want to be sunburned either wear cloths like my boss.

Hello edc students.

Do you have a good summer vacation?

I went to Asahikawa by train to go to high school.

I met a lot of freinds who are same high school class in there.

Our class have 29 students but in this alumni meeting, there are harf of them.

We talk a lot of things.

I heard some people walk a lot of countlys and experience many things.

Also I heard other people's dream.

these people's talking are makes me exciting.

We went to shopping to buy food for dinner.

After that, we cooked dinner.

Some teacher came hear to met us.

They gave us some food sent in.

We talked a long time.

I spend a very good time with them.

Art Museum

Hi,everyone! I am Eiko, EDC3.
Yesterday, I went to Aomori alone. Have you ever been there?
Actually this was the 3rd time to go there for me, and I visited 2 museums. This white building is Aomori Art Museum. This museum was built recently, so everything is new, and comfortable for me. I really enjoyed there.

ipod

Hi, everyone. I'm Saori, edc 3 student.

Recently, I'm doing part-time job 5 days per a week at bookstore. I'm working almost everyday. However, I'm working only 4 hours every time, so not so hard.

I saved money and finally bought ipod!! This picture is my ipod. Ipod is really convenient★

I downloaded some podcasts. For example, CNN news and Business English Conversation podcast. I'm studying Korean now, so I listen to Korean conversation podcast, too. I also listen to music with my ipod.

I'm going to go to UCLA tomorrow to September 13. I'll come back to Japan on September 14. It took long time to prepare many things. I'll do my best at UCLA. I'm very looking forward to going abroad. I'll post blog with pictures from UCLA. So please read it★ See you.

Fireworks

Hello, this is Kasumi, edc 1 student.
I enjoyed playing fireworks with my part-time job workers on August 14th!
Before we do that, we had a BBQ party at the Abe river near my house during the day.
The schedule on the day was so busy. After we had the BBQ party, some of them and I had to work from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and went to play firework with them.
Anyway, I had great time with them. Next time, we plan to go day trip! So fun!!

The time flews so fast... I'm going to study abroad during my summer vacation and the time will come soon! I hope I have great time in America and everybody enjoys your summer break!

Beauty and the Beast

It was so exciting show and I really love it!

Harry Potter

Hi, this is Ryuji、edc1 student.
I am really enjoying summer break. How about you guys?
I went to Nagano, Omaezaki, and Nagoya with my friends. I also went to watch many fireworks. I like summer break because I can see many old friends living outside of Shizuoka.
Anyway I bought a book “Harry Potter” to keep in touch English. It is the last one and I can enjoy the story even it is in English. I recommend reading an English book because you can feel like you were very smart.lol
Reading English makes me really sleepy and tired, but I want to finish the book until new school season start. Have fun with lest your break! See you

English magazine

Hi, everyone. This is Saori, edc 3 student.


Today, I will recommend a magazine to you. It is "AERA English". This magazine is written in English and Japanese. I want to keep my English skill during long summer vacation, so I started to read the magazine. This magazine is very interesting to me.


AERA English is written mainly about......

・some Hollywood's actors and actresses
・current English (the present social problems)
・English language teaching in China
・pieces of news from around the world

Current English and English-language newspaper were especially useful for me. I could learn the happenings in the world. I had some new English words and looked up them in a dictionary. There is also a Japanese translation, so you can understand the contents easily.

This magazine also tells some good ways to remember new English words. AERA English should be interesting and useful. This is monthly magazine. The latest issue of the magazine will be published on the end of August. I hope you will enjoy reading AERA English if you have free time.

Firework

Hi!

I'm Yukino, EDC1 student.

I went to watch fireworks to Yaizu on Thursday.

These fireworks were displayed on the sea.

Many people watched at the port.

I tyied to take some phot but it was very difficult.

If I took a photo at bad timing, photo didn't take anything.

I wore yukata for a long time.

I enjoyed very much.

Karaoke!

Hi! Rika again!

I also went Shizuoka Augost 11 through 12 and sang a song in karaoke with my friends all night.

Before I went to Shizuoka, I met one friend and we ate lunch in Hamamatsu station.

I chose gratin, but I still hungry so I ordered chocolate cake.

My friend also ordered shortcake. However my friend said that she felt sick because she ate too much.

After we finished eating, we had free time so we went to game center in ZAZA city.

In there, we took purikura! I didn't take purikura for 2 years so I forget various thing. But I was happy to take purikura again!

We also played UFO catcher.

My friend played UFO catcher very well so we could get same stuffed animals!!

His name is "Kapibara-san". He is very cute!
My Kapibara-san's color is white and My friend's brown!

After we enjoyed game center, we went to Shizuoka by train.

My friends and I suggested to meet in Shizuoka station so we gathered together in there and went to karaoke.

All my friends were sung very well so I want to hear all night but I coudn't. I slept a long time!

Although I couldn't sat up all the time, I had a great time!!

Kouminkan Jigyou in Create Hamamatsu

Hi everyone! I'm Rika!Do you guys enjoy summer vacation? I really enjoying vacation!However, I had no time to post blog so I will post blog two times... I'm sorry!

I want to post two things about "Kouminkan Jigyou" and "Karaoke".

In this, I will write about "Kouminkan jigyou" which was held on August 9.

We(college students) were gathered pupils and worked with something.

It is once a month "Kouminkan Jigyou" take place.

In this time, we were made Brazilian foods named Brigadeiros and Pan de Queso.
Those are easy for pupils to make so they were really enjoyed cooking.
After cooking, pupils and we ate Brigadeiros and Pan de Queso.

It was good taste and pupils also satisfied with Brazilian food.
Next "Kouminkan Jigyou" is Capoeira. I hope pupils will come "Kouminkan Jigyou" again and enjoy with us!

I flew!

Hello, everyone.I am Mai from edc 3.
Today,I went to the Asagiri highlands with my friends of elementary school,because Iwanted to do paraglider.The weather is not so bad. So,I did this comfoltably. when we reached there, the instructor taught us the way to fly. It was not so difficult.

Frist of all we went up a hill, and we flew.It was so nice! I could see very large fields.This feeling is the most comfutable in my life. So l hope to do this again.

Ryugashidou

Hi, this is Yumika from EDC1. Do you enjoy your summer vacation?
By the way, I went to Ryugashidou with my friends by bus. Ryugashidou is the biggest limestone cave of Tokai area. Inside of the limestone cave is cool, so we could forget and escape from the heat. Also, The inside of Ryugashido is so dark and mysterious. We had great time with my friends.

If you have time in this summer, you should go Ryugashidou and you can forget this summer's badly heat. After looking around the mysterious limestone cave, delicious ice cream and shaved ice are waiting for you!!!
